Default Which High End Speed Controller Is the BEST??

Hi DuDes
Our Club allows reversible speed controller and I'm using nosram power missile reverse...yesterday I've checked some technical specs and saw an huge gap between reversible and not reversible speedos...
I've got GT7 indoors but IT's huge
Could you recommend me a good overall speed controller or do you think it's better to stay with reversible speedo ?
Many thanx in advanced

Well, tbh if you feel you can do without reverse and dont crash much, imho I would use a forward only esc, if you feel you still need reverse the question answers itself.

Dont want to point out the obvious, but it really depends on how you feel you can cope without the reverse.

As you say, there is a difference in specs of reversed and non reverse esc's, but unless you are very consistant with laptimes its unlikely you will notice a huge difference.

hope that helps you

Default ESC's

Get rid of the reverse

The best speed controls (IMO) are the Novak GTX and the KO VFS-1 C2. There is also the LRP Quantum Comp III, but personally I haven't had good luck with LRP products.

Reverse is illegal for most races and you'll be docked laps or disqualified if you use reverse....

Stick with a forward only ESC and trust the marshals.

As others have also mentioned that in some other professional league racing reverse isnt allowed, (imho) I would be inclined to buy a better esc that doesnt have reverse, it will kinda teach you not to crash first, knowing in the back of your mind you no longer have reverse.

That in itself can only be a good thing!

Yes, I've been using the MRT Pro for nearly two years now and they are fantastic. Good pre-set adjustmetns on it for stock,19T and mod motors and it is guaranteed water-proof if you run outdoors.
Service from the company, if you need it, is apparently great too so I'd recommend this controller every time. Best one I've had in 25+ years of racing.

Just keep using what you got until you don't crash any more most races. You should eventually be able to run a clean race, no marshalling, then the forward only ESC will be worth the money to you. Until then save your cash for something else you have to have, like food, clothing, tires, race fees, practice fees, etc....

If you're going to drop all that cash why not get a BR/BL speedo.

If you're going to wait a little I think the Tekin R1 Pro will be a very good ESC. I think it will be the best of all of them.
