XX-4 conversion to rally/touring?
 

What components would I need to convert a XX-4 to a rally or touring? I saw a kid driving an HPI Pro 3 and hit a large jump with no problem last night at the local carpet track, and I was inspired by its speed and it just looked like the car for me. I know of the Rally Weapon and Street Weapon and understand the chassis is identical, I just need a list of components required. Also, I'd like some rally and 4wd tuning tips.

I can't give you a list of parts, but it would cost a lot of money to convert your buggy into an outdated touring chassis (minimum is new shocks, new suspension arms, new driveshafts, new body and body mounts, new bumper, new wheels, some chassis parts). I would just buy a new car if you want to race touring.

And I was thinking I could just throw on a rally body and tires.

Just get anather car. You would need to change several things and you wouldn't be able to race it. You would eventually get extremely mad because it wouldn't work properly.

The problem is, I can't get a new car. The parents won't let me for some reason. I just ran a 17 tooth pinion, was going about 35, then BAM, CRUNCH!:eek: :( Hit a piece of cement in the road. Destroyed all of the left front suspension[Including the new graphite arms].:cry: Now I know why people say this car breaks front arms a lot. Still looking for a list of parts. I don't really want to change it to the Street Weapon. I'd rather have the Rally Weapon. Thanx!
