Um, I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but the ones you speak of for the TC3 are not a direct fit. I have a TC3 and tried it and there is a little bit of space when you put it in the differential case. This difference becomes great under stress. I am not trying to make any money, I am just giving people an option. I use the HPI delrin and they serve me fine. But for those that may want the strength of aluminum like with the Tamiya EVO V, they have the option.

giant655 / bxpitbull..

are you guys talking about the same thing?
I thing giant655 has mistakenly stated that the outdrives bxpitbull has mentioned are the CVD's.

giant655..bxpitbull outdrives are for the diffs... and yes the TC3 cvd will fit..but the TC4 HD bones is the better one.

bxpitbull... the aluminum outdrives designed for std. cv pins or is there another version for blades? metal on metal will wear out the outdrives quickly.

presicesly, I am making reference to the outdrives, the portion of the DIFFS that HPI doesnt make in aluminum for the Pro4. I am well aware that the universals go back and forth for the TC3/4 and PRO4. And yes, they will accomodate the cyclone blades. When I spoke to the machinist, I clearly specified that they must be able to accomodate blades for the metal to metal contact.

$31 dollars a set, shipped. Anyone outside of the US that is interested, has to inquire about overseas shipping rates.

Send me an IM and I will reply with my contacts email address. Ensure that you mention me so he knows where the email came from. And no, I am not getting a kickback. I am paying $31 dollars a set just like everyone else. He will start milling the parts on Friday.

Looks like the Pro 4 spot is alive again.....Very Good.

bxpitbull; the Pro 4`s Outdrives wear - out? I`ve only had My Pro 4 since June and I haven`t had any problems.
I`ve thought those Purple Aluminum Rings keep the Outdrives in shape.....?
-I have only run a 19-Turn Peak Dynasty Motor in My Pro 4; so I would really know. But I plan on putting in a 13-Turn Reedy Ti Worlds Edition Motor; so I might start seeing some wear on the Outdrives then.....?.....
- -But since My Pro 4 is Retired; I`ll only see how the 13-Turn Motor runs in it for Only 1 Time.....So I shouldn`t see any wear on the Outdrives.

I also changed My Mind on getting an extra Pro 4. 1 is enough.
-I want to get a Tamiya TB Evo 5.

Take Care.

Not so much of wearing out, but for those of us who run some of the hotte motors, we run the risk of the heat generated melted the plastic. I myself havent wrecked a Pro4 diff since I paid to have them built (thanks rwhitaker04). But, seeing that other cars have em, I feel the Pro4 is entitled. I will installed the metal ones and use the plastic as backups. Turn signal. Was in the EVO5 thread and that car is just plain sick. The only drawback is the one-piece motor mount. No quick motor or spur gear swaps with that puppy. Other than that, the car is a gem.

Hey bxpitbull; thanks for the info.
I`m not using the Delrin Outdrives in My Pro 4; I`m using the regular Ball Diff Outdrives.(I purchased a Pro 4 and put most(some) of the Hara Parts on it.)

-I`ll have problems running a 13-Turn Motor with those Outdrives?

On the Tamiya TB Evo 5. I didn`t know it had a 1-Piece Motor Mount.
That`s 1 Feature the Pro 4 has over the TB Evo 5.

Thanks

Take Care.

One piece motor mount w/o slots to slide the motor out. You have to remove the screws entirely. Other than that, the car looks like it is ready to wreck shop.

Hey bxpitbull; thanks for the Hardcore Info.
A Picture speaks thousands of words.

It looks like all of the Main U.S. Hobby Spots are having a hard time getting that Tamiya Kit.

Most U.S. Brand Kits are crappy.....Traxxas, DuraTrax, Team Associated, Losi and Trinity.(Just My Opinion.)

Take Care.

Talk about a STAB! I agree totally that duratrax and traxxas on-roads suck MAJOR DONKEY DOO, but you will find a helluva fight in the Losi thread. AE fans are a bit disenchanted that they have to wait so long for their belted car, especially since AE just not too long ago dropped the TC4, but thats neither here nor there. What you state is precisely why I havent bought a Tamiya car since my TL-01 days...no support base here in NYC!

Dude's name is Mark and his email is "mab7872@tntech.edu". Do mention it came from me in your subject line. If he doesnt recognize your email, he will delete it. And for the people that keep asking me in IM, I am NOT getting a discount! I am just passing info along! What you pay, I pay. I am just trying to keep the Pro 4 going strong (until HPI gets their shit str8!)
