doubtful. RP's are made my Powers International, same as take-offs. I think they have a different way of temp rating their tires.

Ok, I could use some advice. I'm in the process of rebuilding my Pro4. i'm using the schumacher ball cups again, but this time I'm going to drill holes so that I can access the ball studs with my wrench, but I've got a problem. the ball cups fit perfectly before I drill the hole in the cup, but after I drilll, the cup is WAY to tight! no way the suspension will work with that.

So to those of you who've done this to your schumacher ball cups, what tools did you use and exactly how did you do it? No matter what I use or how I do it, I can't seem to get the ball cup to be usable after I drill.

Completely different tire.. i remember using Pit's back in the day when I started racing about 5 years ago, even then they were considered old although they do still work on some tracks today.

Go SF Giants!!

Mark is exactly right. The pit shimizu 30's are a totally different rubber than the RP30's. The pits are longer lasting and more consistant when the tire heats up. The RP30's don't last long. I can go through RP30's during one whole race day, while a pit 30 can last for 4-5 full race days.

Haha... no i dont know him... but doubtful any of us will be running Pits this carpet season (a lot of us including myself will be switching to 12th scale!) but it seems that RP's and Sorexs will still be the tire for Stockton. Besides, i have never gotten my Pro4 to work well on carpet w/ rubbers but it works great w/ foamies

cartmen- when you drilled the ball cups did you drill from the inside out or outside in. I always drilled the HPI cups without problems. Drill from the inside(where the ball would go) to the outside using a sharp bit and little pressure, let the bit do the work. Also, don't make the hole to big, just tight enough to get a 2mm tip thru it. You shouldn't notice any difference in tightness once done.

Thanks dizzy. I've had my bits for a while now. I probably will need to try a new one. And I think I was drilling from the outside-in, not the other way around like you advise.

thanks again!!
