the different droop setting help eliminate or minimize any torque steer from the motor... on stock motors you won't notice it as much...

can you send me your pic how much you tighten it until little bit. thanks
yea..don't tighten it all the way down. just enough to hold with equal pressure on both sides... on mine it's like 1mm from the upperdeck to bottom of washer...

Really? How come when I try to gear down, straight line speed is really slow?

How is the comm look on your motors? If you comm looks then you are overgeared.

Not really...it's a bit dark but I think it is because of the comm drops. Note, however, that I have 2 fans that cool the engine. Maybe that's why it does not look so

Although I will take a look at your recommendation. I think I should time it. A lower gearing might be faster in the straight-away but not necessarily faster on overall lap time.

Will try higher gear ratios and will let you know of the result.

BTW, since my motors are x2 and not x1, doesn't that mean that my gear ratio will really be lower than yours?

Hernandez...A couple of points....
1/If you can get the timing on your v2 motors checked...I have three and they were all out!!!instead of 18degrees they were about 24.This could be one of your problems
2/You dont tell us if you are using rubbers or foams...this can make a huge difference, most rubbers are 63mm...given that I run my 9x1 at 23.82 rollout...my 8x1 at 22.74
You can get a rollout chart here
www.arroyoc.com
If you are using foams you have to factor your tyre diameter in.

Hey my pro4 is using a fantom stock motor... I have a 48p 70t spur gear and a 28t pinion... My final gear ratio is about 6.02. Should i gear down?

Gearing....On rubber tyres on one of the tracks I use( similar to what you have) I would go down 2 pinion sizes ...22...to 20 .for your 9x2. I dont use a 10 turn but would suggest you try the same with that.Check out the gear chart....I use it heaps.
