All the parts I make will be CAD drawn and CNC cut. If anyone has any good Ideas for some parts and I end up using your Idea I will be happy to send you a few free parts.

Please let me know what everyone thinks.

Chris,

a carbon fiber "bracket" of some design would be great to have for a "dual" fan set up to be mounted on the top of the upper deck (via the center brace screw) which will be positioned in a way to "house" the fans that will cool the esc & motor).......

justa thought....(you asked)

Chris
not a whole lot else can be done with sheet of CF...that's already been made...
but if you were to make a CF molded tub chassis...now that's a different story...I'm sure you'll get plenty of interest...

Smile My new used Pro4

Hey everyone I just bought a used Pro4, and I had a few questions. I was told that you can order alum. front gears out of Japan for this car, it cuts down on the gear striping, would anyone know where to find such a part? I have torn the car all way down and cleaned all the parts, I am going to get a new bearing set from Acer, and I ordered a new screw set from rcscrewz. Two of the dog bones are bent so I need new ones, can someone point me to where I could find some? everywhere I look it is out of stock. I only need the bones not the entire cvd, are there some made from graphite or something? I would put them on the rear, and keep the alum. ones for the front. Am I missing anything else? or any suggestions would be great!

Thanks, Brian

There's maybe a market for a carbon fibre battery strap like mine in the pics a page or two back. I made mine myself out of fibreglass/carbon fibre sheet but it's by no means perfect.

upgrade to the newer bevel gears and backplate for the one-way or diff.
for durability..switch to the TC3 shiny bones in front and use the aluminum bones in the rear. you don't want graphite bones...the more the will break...

yea...a CF battery strap would be nice...definately would be lighter than the aluminum one and better looking than the stock verserion...

HPI PRO4 could be machined out in the middle of the strap..

The 3mm CF may be thick enough that the battery slots can be machined out...
