Thumbs up 2005 Edition Pro4

Hey guys loks like HPI has some small updates to the Pro4 coming.. looks like there will be a 2005 Edition coming out sometime here in the next few months in Japan
should come with the following new items
1)2mm chassis
2)New 2.5mm upper deck with Larger holes machined (factory driver trick to help prevent chassis tweek) and also the upper deck is a little bit narrow too
3)New thicker designed motor mount to make getting the motor in and out easier(this mount looks similar to the HB prototype one Hara was running a while back)
4)1 piece alloy input shafts and bevel gears
5)Alloy upper camber link mounts
6)Alloy servo/transponder mount
7)New design alloy dampers (looks like a Tamiya damper now with the Floro coating)
8)Derlin diff
ect ect...

How do you know this? Are there any pics? Particularly interested in the motor mount, shocks and input shafts.

The updated car sounds basically like the setup Hara and team driver have been running...

If you run foams I'd stick with the thicker 2.5mm stock chassis or optional 3mm.

the one piece input shafts and camber link mounts would be nice updates....but you can also get them now anyway from sites like precisionrc.com

square transponder mount.

jet racing mount.

square 1 piece input shaft

jet aluminum camber link mount.

the jet/square pieces look high quality and i know a few people who used the 1 piece input shaft and aluminum camber link mounts and said they worked really well.

Sweet. Maybe that means that they will also release the updated R40 here in the states.
I hope the parts for the 2005 will come at the same time as the car.

Will all of this result in a significant price increase?...That is one great thing about the Pro4 at the moment. It is one of the best cars, AND, one of the cheapest.
Below $300 ...I'm laughing

Finished getting the radio gear in my first Pro 4 and just wanted to send along a pic to see what everyone thought. I'll send another when I get the Mazda 6 painted. Man I wish it would quit raining and snowing!!!!!!!
