I use the robinson superlite's they're purple in colour coincidentally, but they have good strength to them i find.

I'm interested in finding how good the Square R/C Aluminum Front One-Way Gear is - does anyone here run one? how strong is it?, and does it cause premature wear of the smaller beville gear?

Pfffff,

finished reading the whole thread.
It was certainly worth the effort; I did get a few build tips and learned a lot about tuning!
I'm new on this forum and played a little with an HPI Sprint past year; I'm very anxious to feel the difference between the 2 cars.
While building the car It/ I develloped a little "tweaked" lower chassis that didn't dissapear by loosening the upperdeck alone but the gearboxes and pivotblocks has to be loosened at the bottom to. I gues I assembelled it a little of line.
I have to sit and wait now till winter goes by and outdoor tracks here open their gates.
Well it gives me time to score some spareparts from around the world because sponsoring the LHS means 2-3 times higher prices.
There were a few things not clear for me so who can help me out?
I'm new on newsgroups to (read em alot but never post)....so correct me when I'm wrong.

* Does the BRP TC3 bumper come with the foam part? Because at Tower they don't show it.
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXSR44&P=7

*Someone spoke in the thread about the xxx setup book, where can I buy it on line?

*Does someone have a partnumber of the buttonhead screws they used for the upperdeck mod (I think it has to be m3x20mm)

*Last one: Anyone knows the brand and part number of the alu. 6,2mm hex wheelhubs

Whats a good servo for the Pro 4? I'm looking at the Futaba 9550 for the space or perhaps trying the new Hitec 6965. Anyone have any experience with either servo? I've had bad luck with hitec in the past but I've been hearing good things about them recently so I may try them again.

If that is low profile Futaba, I'd like to try that also. I have been running Airtronics 94357 though and it it awesome. I do not like HiTech digitals. They work fine in some things, but my car just handles better with the Airtronics 94357.

take care

For you hopefulls...look what I found on the DHI CUP thread...

So is it true? Hara at the Birds! Sweet!!! Can't wait to see him there! I remember Hara at the Cleveland race the first time. I thought he was just testing the prototype and didn't want to break it. He did post some fast lap times equal to Kinwald if I remember. But Hara's lap times were up and down, and he let alot of people go by him alot.

~Jimmy Mac

Now I wonder if Thad or Eric is gonna be there! But interestingly, I did not see any of the HPI drivers' names on the Snowbirds entry list.

I have the Futaba 9550 its great and the extra room it gives you lets you mount your electronics anyway you want.

how many runs have you used it for since installing it?

Are you using the same amount of mesh as the original gears?

have you had any front on accidents since having it installed? - i tend to break mine pretty much only when this happens

What did you do to prevent breaking the small gear? Just don't crash?

I'm running the Futaba S9550 in my Pro4. It is great, and being low profile, you have plenty of room for the rest of your electronics!

Default Shock dampening

What has the bigger impact on shock dampening? Piston hole size or oil weight?
