Our RC club is having a one of oval meeting for our christmas meet. It will be a small oval on carpet. Never done an oval before

Any set up tips? do I run with one way or spool?

I will be running on rubber tyres.

Tighten it until it doesn't slipwhen you hold one tire and the spur and try to turn the other wheel.

Default setup sheet...

Is there a v1.1 black setup sheet available from HPI?

I noticed a few setups like Andy Moores 2004 BRCA sheet uses a cleaner version that has checkboxes so it's easier to mark/read.

I looked on hpi usa, europe and asia site and did not find that version.

just wondering.

about the only thing i change for occasional oval runs is a slightly harder tire on the outside front corner... taks out some of the tendency to traction roll.

Can someone share me a decent "Takeoff CS27" rubber tires setup for the indoor carpet? From all the setup sheets that I downloaded (from HPI USA/Europe and Japan).......I have some indoor carpet with Sorex or some outdoor ashault with takeoff....but I don't see 1 stock motor setting for Takeoff CS27 for indoor carpet.....

Just can't seems to find one that match indoor carpet and CS27 rubber....thanks for advance.

P.S....someone mentioned using HARA DHI setup, but I am not sure that will work with CS27 rubber.........

I am using Thad Garners asphault setup with Takeoff CS22s on carpet. It works great.

I really wish that guy would return to these pages... If anyone can contact him, be sure and let him know he was really appreciated by some here...

It's a shame that people catch flack for simply voicing their opinion(s)...

I just ordered the spring set and noticed that it was basically soft springs. I think they are like 15.3 lbs. to 22.4 lbs. Is this correct? Whats the deal with that?
