Its gonna be a while before I am able to race on Tuesdays again Gary. My car seems pretty good. After I put the version 1.1 gears in the one-way stripage seemed to go away. I did end up toasting my brand new Quantom 2 speed control, I went to shut it off after the main and it just went full throttle and would not shut off at all. Richy had to un solder the battery for me while I held the car.

Default Spur gear

Does anyone know the largest spur gear size that will fit on the Pro 4?

In stock trim I think a 100T 64pitch is the largest...I know some of the guys running the PRP chassis have been able to run up to 104T.

I've got a 74 in mine and I've had no problems. Does anyone make a 75 tooth 48p spur gear?

Running the largest spur you can will help with the way the car accelerates. I dont know the technical stuff behind it but it has been proven on the track.

Angry poor results again

another day of ordinary performance from my pro4 yesterday. Running monster stock last meet it went well but I put the 8x1 in and the handling is out the window again

I suspect my front tyres being larger diameter than rears contributed somewhat, but even when i put some rubbers on it wasnt any good (maybe these tyres are due for replacement too?)

I dont know why my car isnt working as my mates is nearly identical setup and his is going heaps better. To ad insult to injury he only recently got his car, and i have had mine for months and struggled to get it going right.

I think I need some softer shock oil too, as by the time we got to the last race that was about the only difference between the two cars setup wise...
