rc-zombies

when i meant maintence i meant just general checks to the gear spacing amount of grease still on them and even wear to the gears
but in litterally rebiulding the diffs then yeah u will have to take 1 or the whole thing of.

but when they are pure purple bling im not complaining

I think HPI should make bulkheads like this,

I thought of it for awhile and drew it on paint.

It should be expensive because it requires a block of aluminum to be machine instead of a thick plate. BUT it would allow people to take the differenial out with meare 2 screws!!!

My drawing is very crude but most of you should get my idea!~

That's a great idea!

Someone on this forum already has machined purple gearboxes.

I was asking myself why would anyone want alum. bulkheads..........for the bling factor or to add some wieght on the car. However, if they made this type of bulkheads it would be worth buying them for easy access to the diffs!!

Please Make Them HPI

The bulkheads that Super Steve designed look very good, just one thing though, they'd have to be in 3 pieces not 2 to enable access to the pinion bevel gear...

I'd love it if diff access was as good as that, it's make for a quick change of set up too (front diff to one-way to spool).

I think I would still prefer to have a totally enclosed diff though like the standard one, although open diffs look good they don't keep all the muck out of the diff...

Default Centre one way

Hey all. Just wondering, does anybody think that a centre one way will ever be produced? It would be interesting to see the advantages of one on the track.
One could be similar to this TC3 one:

I didn't like the center one-way when I had the TC-3. the car didn't handle all that well for me... I doubt it if HPI will release one.

if HPI released aluminum bulkheads... it may be similar to the 'cuda's. or better yet split bulkheads similar to the PRO3's with diff access from the top.

Steve, that's the Evo 3 design and people complained that the front loading diff is a lot of what attributed to the gear problems in that car. But I will admit it is a lot faster to change gears in my Evo than my Pro 4.

Jesse, I actually broke a front bone Tuesday night (big suprise with as much stuff as I hit) but the MIP AE ones fit perfect. Also pick up a BRP front bumper, as its wider and provides more front protection. Let me look at your steering arms when I see you again, there's one other thing you might be able to do to save your front end.
