Your best bet is to Contact Thad Gardner of HPI..he races at Socal.

Twister..try Horizon hobbies... I saw a couple on Ebay yesterday going for $130.00 each.. great price!!!

Stormer Hobbies has the Hara motors...don't know if they have them in stock yet.

the Twister is not available in the US yet...
I think it was just released in Japan.
I'm sure it will cost an arm and a leg when it gets to the US.

For those of you looking for thicker chassis plates, don't forget our range of options: HPI Pro 4 Option Parts You can get the 3.0mm chassis for roughly $59 street price and the 2.5mm upper deck for roughly $21 (depends on your shop).

tunerjetta29: Sorex 36's with either #4631 Green Inserts or Yokomo Super Thin Firm inserts. Some are also trying the Hara line of inserts. Also, most use Paragon FX or similar traction compound.

How do you account for gearing changes between the different thicknesses of chassis Erik?

And as a follow up question to Steve's: If I get two 2.5mm chassis and glue them together, does that mean I can have a 5.0 mm chassis for 42 bucks?

Yes, and if you run out of 50 wt oil you can simply use half 20 and half 30...it adds up to 50! Incidentally if you want to run 40 wt oil simply fill up half of your shock with 20...and then the other half with 20!

I think if you do 1/2 20 and 30 together you get 25wt oil.

Erik! What great news!

Now if only we could figure out a way to compensate for different shock oil with gearing!

We'll see what we hear after Cleveland... we just don't get to spend a lot of time on the "rug."
