Hi Guys,

just want to post a quick note that the Titanium Racing spools for the HPI Pro4 are in stock. We only recommand these for stock racing. Each spool also comes with an extra pair of delrin outdrives.

I like the idea of a "Titanium" spool, but the delrin outdrives scare me. Any idea if steel outdrives will later become available, or should I just wait for the HPI version?

Default spool concept

What is the concept of a "spool?" Is it just a locked differential, without the differential part? What does it do to your handling?

Default Carbon shaft

Hi,
I just got my HPI pro4, and I`m wondering where I can get the carbon main shaft?
And does anyone know if Nobrands makes blu hop-ups for the pro4 like they did to the pro3?
thanks

That's an awesome price. Now I can spend my money on broken dog bones, pins, and gears.

A spool is a diff w/ no diff action. It will push off-power and have great on power steering. It's like having twice as much braking power, and as much acceleration as a one-way. Don't use a spool unless you need the use heavy braking, b/c you will eat up your front tires and every part in the drivetrain.

Pro4!

the stock chassis is 2.5mm and 2.0mm upperdeck.
the BMI chassis is 3.00mm and 3.0mm upperdeck.
If you plan to race indoors on high traction carpet the stiffer chassis is the racers choice. The BMI chassis also features beveled edges and battery slots. no filing has to be done.

Nup, actually here in the Pro4 thread, most of us actually prefer the R3...

Any cons about the car? And I heard thers a better chassis than BMI's. Team PRP http://teamprpracing.com/pro4pics.html heres the link for the chassis. Its pretty cool, battery braces ect. BMI chassis only diff is the thickness? Later

The BMI chassis also includes re-tuned shock towers...

The PRP chassis moved the batteries slightly inward and gives you the ability to run braces in the middle to make the car even stiffer... plus it has wheelbase adjustments...
