Thumbs up OH YA!

I drove my pro4 at lunch today and man I am REALLY liking this car!

I changed the setup to be close to Kevins but not exactly yet.. When I got the car it had assoc purple springs all around and 40wt oil.. I left the oil and changed the springs... man the car went from pushing to having crazy steering!

I also like that I can whip the rear around a corner.... I am glad I got this car...

Tres....Thanks for getting that setup sheet up there for everyone to see. Just a few things to remind you guys about on the setup sheet one is that I ran a 3mm Chassis from PRP so if you have a stock chassis try raising up all the roll centers .5mm to get the same roll centers as we were running with the 3mm chassis. Also I just noticed that the setup sheet has Plaid front tires and what we used was really Plaid3 front tires from TM. Thats it, give it a try and let me know what you think of it....most of the people that I have talked to like it alot and when a few local guys went to it they went faster right off the bat with it.

Lightbulb Sway Bar question

If I add a rear sway bar, will it make the car less aggressive?

More aggressive. When you add a swaybar to either front or back of a car, you are limiting the car's ability to transfer weight to that end of the car, thus you get LESS traction on that end of the car.

so...

swaybar = less overall grip for that end of car

Yes yes. it's pretty good the way it is.

If you are just starting to play around with your setup, I might recommend that you start with the springs. A swaybar can be a helpful adjustment in some situations, but if you don't install the swyabar just right, you'll wind up with a messed up suspension and a very poor handling car.

They can be great, but they can also get you into more trouble than they are worth if they aren't perfect.
