FInally, I've got mine ready to roll.. just got a new bodyshell today. I'll be using the HPI old stratus while waiting for the the stratus 2.

For the info to all who own Pro 4 and using the hpi body, the markings on the body does not suit the Pro 4. the widt is ok, but the length is different by +-6mm. especially on the rear. I've got mine screwed up....

I'd love to post a pics but I can't get hold of the dig. camera.

The shimming on the gearbox where the centre shaft is connected must be observed and experimented, try to lessen the warbling of the shaft cup. this will help to reduce the "noise" generated by the gearbox...

Any new trick on this is very much appreciated.

Kingcrab,
your pro 4 looks great... there is still plenty of space left between your esc and motor.. I'll try to get the rf suppressor tomorrow from farnell. I hope the have it in stock..

Let's roll the Pro 4 and rock on the track. Looking forward for a bright sunny day to test run mine tomorrow...

cheers to every body.. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

New Year New Car..

SpeedDemon...
so the front body Dimples don't line up? I thought they would...
obviously the rears do not...

just recieved my Stratus Aero 2 body... Looks great ...can't wait to get it painted. now only if my Pro4 would arrive..

BTW.... just read the instructions for the Aero2. There are dimples for the Pro4! plus dimples for adjusting the wheelbase.
I wish I ordered more than 1.

Thad / HPI Staff..

Since Yokomo, Xray, & Schumacher all came out with 12th scale 4wd tourer... Will HPI be next? Would be really cool to see a Pro4 12th mini.

hi kingcrab,
after assembling the pro4 kit, how do you find the chassis's rigidity in terms of side twist? is it as flexible as the SD or much stiffer? thanks...

Kingcrab: id just like to know if its easy to access the diffs when you need to make a quick rebuild? i cant seem to figure out how many screws need to be taken off to access them. is it easy or a bit difficult? from the pics, it seems the upper deck will have to be removed (i hope im wrong). i like how they designed the SD gear boxes and was hoping the pro4 diffs will be just as easy to get to. thanks for any inputs.

..... if anyone else has an answer to my question above, i would really appreciate hearing from you. thanks in advance.

I think not remove more screw than sd or tb evo. because it's no need to remove swaybar. I think 6 screw may be enough to take the diff out with same precision of drivetrain and swaybar when reassemble.

Zombie,

The front dimple do line up, but not the rear.. it's the rear that gave me a problem.. the dimple on the rear window need to be shifted further up a bit about 5-6mm..

let me know how the Aero 2 handles once you receive your Pro 4...

I drove the Pro 4 today and overall it's a great car.. just like kingcrab said, tons of steering...

I am using box setting and adjusted the camber as F 1.0 deg, R 2.0 deg. I still need to do a fine tuning to suit my driving style....

I confirmed with Rc CHamps...but they're taking their sweet time about replying back to me... they are probably on Holiday break... Hope they're not all sold out. If they don't reply back by New Years... I may just cancell the order and wait til Speedtech get them. Probably be cheaper too!
