See what racer said.. Plus aluminum is lighter than Ti.

Default Ball Cups

Does anyone have issues with excess play in the ball cups? It seems as though there is a lot of slop in the stearing linkages of my Pro4.

I have seen posts on this thread where people have used other manufacurers balls and I was wondering if this was done to reduce or eliminate the slop in the ball cups.

Yes. Buy the Schumacher ball cups. I'm not sure on the part number, but its somewhere in this post.

They eliminate the slop that the stock ballcups give you.

Also, do I want the plastic grille thing facing the motor or facing the electronics? (direction of air)
I have a mini fan on mine. I used servo tape, but will shoegoo it as soon as I notice it getting loose. The fan sits between my motor and ESC. Its sitting so that the air generated is blown straight into the top of the can.

I hooked mine into the receiver. If you plug it straight into the battery then you have the fan running as soon as you plug in the battery to the ESC.

I just bought a hitec receiver plug lead and soldered the plug lead to the fan leads. Mucho easier then crimping.

Domo..........I don't know what mini fan that you use....but I used the AE one with the blue heatsink that mounted onto the motor...it is not rocket science, and I don't know much about elect TC racing...but since I used it, I can gear up higher, and 5 minutes never be a problem to me........

And since I got that fan, ppl around me got them as well.........not that expensive...$25 or so I think, it plug into the battery port or your 3rd channel port in your receiver...when you turn on your radio/receiver, it is ON...

well, my case is... I use this one for the rear, but the front is the titanium shaft.... It really works and the spurs does not woble compared to the stock ones....

I like that but it's the price that scares me away. Ill keep my stock components untill there is a problem.
