Motor question.......planning to get the V2 motor, but now, need to choose how many TURNS that I should get, the track I am running is kinda big, so anything faster then 10T is a given....
And from Team Orion, I can only get SINGLE wind motor........so now, why I should choose 8T over the 6T if 6T is definitely faster...?

I chosse 8T is because I think it has a little more torque compare to 6T....and 6T is faster but would not last longer compare to 8T before cutting the comm?

Please correct me if I am wrong.....

That mod should be good for any surface, basically it is just supposed to stop the upper deck holding a tweak.

A 6T motor would need rebuilding more often and your batteries wouldn't last as long as with an 8T.

Thank you, thats all I need to know.....8T that is.

Another one, the brushes, there are 2 type...the one come with the motor is called Team Orion Sprint 2-6 Revolution Brush, then there is an option one called Team Orion Enduro 10-30 Revolution Brush...........is that the same like motor, 1 will made the motor run faster, the other one will made the motor last longer before cutting...?

Thanks.........

P.S....and as of today, Team Orion released a new brush called "NEW EDGE" for V2 motor....just can't keep up with all these new thing...

This is from Team Orion team driver Oscar Jansen ......

Advice:
Buy for Touring cars always the V2 touring car version (black endbell) till 9 turns. Under 9 turns choose the modified version. For all other applications like off road as well 1/12th the V2 modified version (blue endbell) is the best choice as it has most efficiency as well largest power band.

If I am using a 8x1 on my PRO 4, I should get the BLUE cap Modified version instead of the black cap Touring version?

And how 'bout the purple endbell of the Hara Edition... where does that fall in place...
the Hara edition is a must have for the Pro4...

I think what he saying is...

Touring Car 10T or higher: Black endbell motor
Touring Car 9T or less: Hara or Surikarn Edition motor
All others (ie offroad, 1/12 scale): Blue endbell motor

What are the camber and droop settings?
* I personally run 2 to 3 mm over ride height.

Which chassis and top plate?
*PRP 3mm, but any 3mm (HPI, BMI , PRP) is a good bet. I noticed the car was much better on carpet when I got my PRP 3mm

Which front drive: Diff / One-way / Spool?
*Diff, oneways rarely work on carpet. Everybody tried spools a year or 2 ago, but most ppl went back to diffs.

As far as the width thing, the car had all around more steering, and rolled through the corner much better. Kinda felt like it was a compass pointer, and the rear end was the pivot point. As far as Hara widening the front end on asphalt, I can understand that. On carpet, you're usually trying to add corner speed and steering, since the cars are so stuck. This is kinda the opposite of asphalt, where you want to make sure the car will not loop out, and also be stable enough to run a 7t.

Hara edition......I can only see it, will never have a chance to get it...so what he mean is the Surikarn (considered MOD) motor instead of the Modified V2 with blue cap.....

now, I understand...thanks.

P.S. just found out, there are nothing lower then 9T on Surikarn edition...........9T is the lowest.

Isn't that a little pricey? I'll stick to my aluminum one...for now.
