robk, when you say 1 hole for the akerman are you talking about the #1 setting based on the HPI manual?? Also, what are you running your width at 190 front and rear???

Which brand is the strongest of the three: GPM, Jet Racing, or Square? Where would I get the HPI knuckles?

Holy Cow, the Square front knuckles are 35.99 a pair. That sucks.

I am looking on www.precisionrc.com and it shows the Jet Racing knuckle arm for 16.95 ea. Does it come with 1 or 2 arms for 16.95?

That's what I was thinking, but the site said ea. Plus, they are a lot cheaper than any other brand's knuckle arms.

Nope, as far as I know they should be out now, just get your LHS to ring them up sometime in the week, they will probably have a sheet with a load of Pro 4 bits that Ti Racing are doing if the rep has been within the last week or so.

I have 2. Probably going to sell the second one pretty soon though. Don't see much point in having 2 anymore.

Having a second car for parts is sometime a waste
the car is so durable sometime the second car parts go untouched.....

Galway, how is the car working up there? We just got a carpet track last weekend and have been doing some testing. So far the car is just as great on the carpet as it is on the asphalt. If you guys have any big races coming up can you hollar at us. There are 5 of us with Pro4s and soon to be 6.

Yea, a second car for parts would be a tough call unless a person is loaded with cash. I have yet to break anything except for a servo housing ear due to a direct hit on the front end. At least the car didnt break!!!! It sure should have.

robk, when you say 1 hole for the akerman are you talking about the #1 setting based on the HPI manual?? Also, what are you running your width at 190 front and rear???

I run a setup really close to Kevin's, I actually just started whith what he was doing as a base after I got back from nationals.
I believe Kevin runs the #1 ackerman setting. As far as width, i have been trying some things and i think the car is more free when it is set up wider. I am about 188mm right now, and i'd like to get it out to the limit. Also, biasing the width between front and rear can also have a big effect (like narrower front=more turn in)

I have never raced asphalt so I don't know how the Pro4 compares carpet to asphalt. It took me awhile to really get my pro4 going as I am the only one running one, but right now I am doing pretty well.

http://www.hobbyplexraceway.com/i is the official site for the Omaha carpet track. All major events will be listed there. I believe there are currently plans to have a large trophy race sometime in November. There is also a Nebraska racing forum on rctech that they will be announced on.
