One thing I don't like about the Pro 4 is that you have to take off the WHOLE upper deck (12 screws) then take off another 2 to access the differential. On my Brokomo, you just take out a pin or something and the spur comes out or take off 2 screws for the diff case and it comes out.

Good job rookie......and the Tinley park track is like 200ft by 100ft. And that gearing is a little under geared for that track.....but that would depend on the size of your tires. I ran 36/98 with a 9t on the track with 60mm tall tires. At the second points race there was 3 of us that went a lap faster then Nitro on that track layout. Its funny to see the looks on the nitro guys faces when we are that much faster or even pass them on the straight......yeah electric cars are slow....lol.

Im gald that you like your car.

Euge raced his on sunday.....he seems to like it alot too.

Keep it up and I will look for you out at RSJ this winter.

My 15 laps is using a 9x1 with 33T/98T (definitely OVER geared as I found out later....motor is HOTx1000) 37/rear foams by left over NITRO car and 40/front foams by left over as well...

I love the PRO 4.........and can't beat the lower arms are all the same for 4 corners...

But I have to say........stripping the spur and replace/repair it is NOT FUN.

Cool

Guys,
Just had the 2004 HPI Challenge here in Austin Texas this past weekend and it was a BLAST!!! HPI came with awesome prizes and made this race fun and enjoyable. The local HobbyTown held the race and they ran it very well and without any problems. Had an AWESOME time racing my Pro4 only the 5th time having it and got me 4th place in the "A"main! ........Love this CAR!!

Big Thank You to HPI

yeah, I raced the pro4 for the first time this past weekend and it felt really good. It handles really good and that drivetrain is amazing. I've never seen a drivetrain that free right out of the box. Now I can't wait to add the PRP chassis. Looking forward to the carpet season to ramp up.

Thumbs up KO Propo Race

Another fine weekend with my Pro4..

didn't make the big show (A-main),.. but the car was working well.. my driving was the issue.. drove it to the 2nd spot in the "B" ... One bobble too many in the last qualifier kept me out of the A-main,... although that qualifier was my best of 4..

end result could have been a 5+ sec improvement, ended up a 2.5 second improvement... putting me into the 21-lap-club..

anywhoo.. special thanks go out to the HPI guys (Andrew, Thad, Hara) for their 'hospitality' at the race...

Got a chance to eye-ball Thad's and Hara's cars,... works-of-art!! ... i consider myself very maticulous when prepping and assembling mine, and preparring for the next heat... those two cats take it to another level...

What are good rims to use with the Pro4? Will the Hot bodies dish clear the rear ball cups?

Can someone explain what inch-up wheels are and what is their purpose compared to normal??

Thanks

Thanks for the help with the ballcups guys, I ended up going with the Shumaker cups (I had some laying around) and they fit much better. Like It was stated before because of the tops are flat you don't need to grind off the tops to clear the rims. I'm looking forward to getting out with the car again I haven't had a chance to run it in a while. I will be racing at the FSEARA state race at Full Throttle speedway and I’m hoping to see some HPI representation there due to the fact that this will work out as a 2nd pre worlds.

They also have some cool Frewer 190mm
lexan bodies, and maybe some
pre-mounted Take-Off tires for you as
well.
