Default Race Report

My LHS was racing last night on their parking lot (asphalt). Brought the Pro 4 out there to race. Hooked up excellent, while it was dry . After the first heat or so, it started to fog/mist so the ground was wet.

(by the way, only 2 heats on Tuesday night races to get home earlier and 3 regular heats on Sunday races.)

Heat 1:
Everything went smoothly until I heard something rattling from my car. I took it off the track and found out the my front universal's were snapped (The previous owner of the car broke a front MIP CVD up front and replaced both with universals). Then after fixing that, I found out the spur stripped in 2 places. The teeth were basically gone. I fixed that as well and brought it to race the second heat.

Heat 2:
The ground was wet outside from all the fog/mist. The car however, still hooked up really well, even in some turns.

B Main:
I started 3rd in the B Main. Then the other guys had some trouble and took it off the track so I was the only one left driving out there. They bumped me up to the A main after.

A Main:
Started number 8. There were many cars crashing into each other in the beginning. But as things cleared up, everything went smoothly. I still have no clue what I finished in it since they post it on their website a couple of days later.

Some Questions:
What might've caused a stripped spur? My gear mesh was perfect. The only time I've had my spur stripped was when my gear mesh was too loose, and the whole spur would strip instead of those 2 places.

A small rock could have caused that. It got between the spur and pinion and stripped it.

put some tape under the chassi where the spur gear is..
that will prevent any dirt or small pebble from entering.

Anyone interested in a brand new pair of Eagle Racing (Integy) Aluminum Purple body posts? These body posts are too short for my body. They have been opened only and have NOT been mounted. $5.00 Shipped anywhere.

Another question when you buy the wishbones are they the same as the front and rear or does it include one rear and one front wishbone

The new kits should come with new gears by now.

Those two colors are kinda ugly together. They don't give specs for that chassis. Is it 2, 2.5, or 3 mm?
