RC Champ only had 2 left in stock today, unless there was more out the back..

i'm surprised how hop-up the stock version of Pro4 is. I wonder what the Hara version will look like. Maybe just a set of aluminum bulkheads....
So many different shaft drive car in the market nowadays.... so hard to choose...

the only chassis related part you need to get for the pro4 is springs, everything else is included, oneway, swaybars titanium this and that.
Maybe HPI learnt that a whole car in option parts cramped their sales a bit(pro2 and 3, near complete cars in option parts, crazy)

Just checked the HPI website... it even has the aluminum pivot block (suspension block) included.... damn... this car is so damn hop-uped....... and a very reasonable price too... nice touch HPI!

For you lucky ones who got their Pro 4's early, how about posting your opinion on the stiffness of the car once it's built. I heard comments back from the Cleveland race that the car appeared somewhat flexible. Also, post any building bugs you come across while assembling them. Thanks!

utieh: It is very likely that it includes an LRP ESC, as HPI Japan brings the LRP line into Japan (note the LRP links on the HPI Japan site). As I'm on vacation , I cant' verify at the moment which speedo is included (but I can't resist checking on all the news here ).

This is the quote that Rc Champs gave me:
HPI Pro 4 ??28,000
HPI Pro 4 with titanium screws set ??31,500
Item total 59500YEN
Shipping 7500YEN
Tax 3350YEN (.05% of total +shipping)
paypal 3376YEN (.047% of item, shipping & tax)
Grand total 73726YEN
With the current exchange rate of .0093188 that's $687usd.
but Paypal yen rate is at $704.00+/- $350per kit shipped
RcTech has pre-orders right now for $290.00usd. ($320.00 shipped w/CA resi tax...all other $300+/- )
Tower price is $444.00
I guess if racers are eager to get one... $30.00 more per kit is worth it... not having to wait a month or two before the US get it.
I'm still debating whether to get one now or wait...
The car look great...HPI did a great job this time.

Erik,
Thanks for the reply on the chassis stiffness. I've already pre-ordered a Pro 4 and will respond back with comments once it arrives and I have time to build it. BTW, the stiffness question wasn't meant to question the integrity of the car. I was sold on it just by the pics on the HPI site. It looked to be a very well thought out and designed car. As this forum knows, the Pro 4 did very well at Cleveland and most likely will continue with that winning performance at future races. I just am anxious to get it!!!
One last question, will spare parts be shipped along with the kits? That is as important as the kit itself!
Thanks!
