Default let's review

Ok, I know this is a pain to have to repeat yourselves, but it's also a pain to try and search through this thread trying to find the info I need.

So after many weeks of working fine, my diffs have started to losen themselves up during every run. (strange they didn't start this earlier)

So after all the discussion, what is the best method for fixing this problem? I know I need some associated parts, like the diff spring, diff screw and locking nut, but do I need the ones from the NTc3 or the Tc3? Do I have to do any hand fitting to make the parts work? Any extra stuff, like washers, bevel washers?does the fix REALLY work in the long term?

thanks for the help!!

Cartmen34, I dont have the numbers on me but I picked up the Associated T-nut/ Bolt package and the Dif Spring from a track that only races offroad so I would think it would be the same as a B4 or T4. I can get you the numbers this evening. I put these parts in after the first weekend I ran the car and now months later I still have never had to adjust the diff. I run mod with as low as 9turn motors so I do put the diff to a test. I dont lock the diff down either. I set it with the rpm diff tool to the point it will not slip then tighten it up about a 1/16 turn more. Install and leave it. My diff spins extremely free but does not slip at all.

Ah. Excellent. There is no need to look up the associated part numbers, I can get those from their .com.

I've already have the springs, so now I just need the diff bolt and locknut.

thank you very much for the info Doug!!

What exactly is the advantage of having the delrin outdrives? I know they look nice, but are they any lighter? I know they'll be stronger, but has anyone actually toasted a stock outdrive?
