Default HPI Shocks

Has anyone tried other brands of shocks on the Pro4? Just wondering if another manufaturers shocks will fit/work.

Thanks

I developed a glitch last week. After changing everything, I ended up with Airtronics receiver on top of top deck, and antenna mounted like Ray's.

Default Glitch

I think my 'glitch' was because I had something stuck in my right rear outdrive. Every once in a while it would get caught between the outdrive slot and the diff case and cause the car to make a hard right turn. So I thought it was glitching. I think my motor was also due for a rebuild.

Since I've removed the obstruction from the diff outdrive and changed motors, I've had no glitching problem. Knock on wood...

others will work...but why would you want to? the stock shocks are very smooth already..

After further
investigation I came up with this. Two
of my P2K Pro motors had a cracked
diode in them.

I popped a NEW Epic in
, after 300 sec. of 3v break in, and
BINGO.

Hey guys sorry im laxy and dont have time to read back about40 or so posts, but heres my question. Whats the deal with 28mm foam tires do they fit? ,I herad someone say they hit the shocks or something.Well ive been running the tc3 but i wanted a change and the pro4 sounds great.I run a lot of stock racing and it sounds like the pro4 has a super free drivetrain so im in. yhx in advance.

I found 4mm taps, 5mm, 40 peice sets with a 3mm, but not just an individual 3mm. My question is, well actually I have 2. First of all, do I really need a tap? If I just put some muscle behind it could I manage without one? And second, is there a standard sized equivelent that I could use instead? Cause I do have access to a set of standard sized taps that might work, but Im not positive.
I HIGHLY recommend using a 3mm tap, it will make building the kit A HECK of ALOT easier. Yes, you have to be very careful, you need to make sure that you tap straight and with a little grease on the tap threads. I would say to try and locate a tap, b/c the hex can get stripped out when too much force is applied to turn the screw (as when you are building w/o tapping).

I don't think there is a standard sized equivalent....for more tips see this link:
