I've thought about putting together a mini anodizing station in my garage...but didn't want to deal with battery acid and other chemicals.
2 ways to strip anodizing.
1) warm up your metal parts in a toaster oven. and spray it with EZ-OFF oven cleaner. let it sit for awhile and brush off the ano. this may take several attempts to get everything off. With this method it may small pits in the metal.
2) probably the easiest way...go to your local anodizers and buy a gallan of Anodizing stripper. $10-20

Stripping the Anodizing will not degrade the metal... you're only removing the surface layer.

Contact: http://www.hobbyplating.com/
they have Ano Stripping if you can't find one local.

good luck and happy holidays...

Yes you're probably right for being a place holder...I'm sure the price will drop as soon they get definate pricing...

You can't go wrong with Speedtech price of $290.00
I don't think Tower price will even come close to that.

All that depends on batteries, motors and gearing... nothing to do with the car.

well what best to use? Say like what type of setup does Hara Atushi drive with. Cna you get atleast 20 minutes of runtime out of the car? And does the car slow down as the batteries are drained?

Anybody run zapped and matched cells? What if I was running GP 3300's?

Majority of racers used matched cells.
and Hara gets Team edition packs...high voltage, runtime, and low IR's.
20min. runtime unlikely with a mod motor..most races are 5min.
6-8min runtime at the most.
if you had a Tamiya stock motor installed you'll be lucky to 10-15min.

and yes...the car slows down when the cells are used...just like a gas tank... you can only go so far...

with all these questions... I guess you're a Newbie..
