I dunno...I think there's more to it than that. The way he was talking, there's basically a "black hole" that all the new parts fall into and they all seem to surface at the asian distributors and dealers. They get the parts, we get the B/O's

The guy is hardly "disgruntled", he was just trying to explain what was going on...

Build it per the manual setup and start there. The stock setup is real stable. I did drop to 40wt oil but that is about all I have changed so far. If you keep the oneway in you need to invest in a backing plate like the one that PRP or HPI sells otherwise the gear will flex and you will chip a tooth off. I am sure you will enjoy the car.

The only thing I did for the first run with my car was move the rear shock bottoms to the middle hole. It was very stable, and is a good starting point.

The only aftermarket parts I have on my car are the PRP gear plate, and TruSpin. The one-way gear plate is a must have if you run the one-way, imho. Otherwise you run the risk of loosing teeth off either gear due to the flex in the gear itself. http://www.teamprpracing.com Ben has them in stock now.

I still have not damaged a single gear since running PRP's plate.

zombies - Sneaky... Question of the day shouldn't "be whats up with the X-ray?", but "Who is that in your avatar? "

Yea, forgot about the rear lower shock mount! Thanks Troy. Kinda late for me.

I just installed both the gear plate and the truespin Friday night. Went together great as usual when you get items from PRP. Ran mod Saturday and NO gear problems! YEA!!!

Default Alloy diff gear

Not sure if this is old news but it looks like Square will be releasing an Alloy diff gear for the Pro4.

No it's not like the TC3 in that parts break constantly it's just that when you race, you will break something and with no spares available it pisses people off.
