It looks to me like none of the aluminum parts are shining... probably a lighting issue.

Hey,
this is a direct quote from a mail I got from rcmodel

I can't promise you can get the suspension arm 1-2 weeks later. Because
your money order takes 1-2 week to HK. We have quite a lot of arms in stock
at this moment!

I havent been posting a lot but I have been reading this thread and keeping up to date. still in the hunt for a pro 4, I start work in 1 week A while ago in this thread you guys were talking about some tweaking and other minor issues with the chassis. Has HPI looked into these any further or have there been any kit updates since the original hit the shelves? Just wondering...

Speedworld... $265.00

not heard of any new kit updates...
Only difference I found from the original kit I purchased and I just purchased a replace shock tower..it that the new shock tower I just got is about 2mm lower mounting positions than the one provided in the kit.

Erik can you comment on the different shock towers.

I figure it's a running change..and the lower mounting positions improver the handling of the car and lower the CG...

Hey zombies nice to hear from ya

$265=awesome

Hope to have this car in a month or so, assuming funds hold out. I was wondering if they were doing anything to help the tweak, but I guess as someone else said a while ago theres only so much you can do with a double deck graphite plate chassis. Would aluminum bulkheads help any I wonder? One more thing that comes to mind, is it true that putting the chassis in the freezer overnight will make it more tweak resistant? I heard that somewhere a long time ago but never knew if there was any truth to it...

Just wondering because this weekend I ran the car with some slight changes for stock and it was planted. But in 19T, it was all over the place which I thought was quite odd. So I figure if I setup the car for mod that it should be good no matter what class I run...does this sound reasonable?
To give you a better idea briefly,"Mod" setups will usually be slightly stiffer. The Stock racer may find a setup that works great in stock but is not pushing the setups limits. The speed your going at in Mod makes the car transfer weight much quicker thus the eratic handling you experienced when you ran 19turn.Usually if your car is railed in Mod,it should be just fine for stock. The opposite is not necesarily the case.So this shows the setup your usuing right now should be changed in order to accomodate the quicker weight tranfer and overall speed of the car.

How come i can't keep my motor cooled?

Kevan is apparently running 33pinion with 100t spur with a 8 turn D5!!!!

When I can't keep 29t pinion and 98th spur geared MH or p2k2 happy?

What is wrong with my car?
drive terrain is free... motors have nothing wrong with them...

How hot is it coming off the track?

I usually come off around 140-150 ( tempature taken off the motor winds ). I'll run 160-170 if it's not dogging in the infield.

I've been running around 29/98 ( give or take ) at Trackside no problem with a monster stock.

You also have to remember that Kevin is running outdoors on a larger track, and probably has some Hurricane batteries that can pull that gearing

I'm running 98/36 with monster stock..and not too hot to the touch... the track is wideopen..full throttle at 95% of the time.

weird...

are tighter track harder on the motor?

It get hot enough to make the chassis around the motor plate hot, upperdeck above motor mount hot and a motor that is untouchably hot...

I ran 31 pinion then tried 29 and there was no big improvement on the temperature...

And the motors only ran for 2 to 3 minutes due to the arm keep coming off!

Think what I would have done to the motor if i finished the 7min races

Where do you run your FDR like that and your not burning your motor up Zombies? This is a monster correct?

Cant be Speedworld or your going to slow.I cant think of one track you would run on that you would gear a monster like the way you suggest.
