i love the car, because it screams that it is a race car, not a little rtr. Because it doesn't have battery mounts, it's taped in. btw, are the hubs made of graphite, or plastic, and tell me those outdrives are metal, not graphite like the pro 3.

There's nothing wrong at all with the graphite outdrives the Pro 3 came with, the problem occured because the CVD's weren't in far enough in the outdrive, if HPI have graphite outdrives, I hope they've learnt their lesson and make the CVD's go in a little further.

BTW, a front one-way and a HB diff fixes any outdrive problems

i sorta meant that, oops, yeah, the heat and pressure of the mips on the outdrives warped my outdrives back. I did it on the rear, so a one-way wouldn't work. I still love this pro 4, i wonder if it is worth putting my top notch xxx-s on the shelf though.

Default Outdrive troubles

Guys;

The only times that I've had broken outdrives is when I tore an Arm off for various reasons (driver error, being hacked).

Anyways, I had the opportunity to examine a Yokomo SD next to my Pro-3 and the Yok has Aluminum rings on the outside of the Outdrives that look like they will fit on the HPI.

Since the Car has yet to released to the general public, slight relevant detours off the Main topic shouldn't hurt anyone.

The main Idea behind a Message board is to share information and help each other out anyways, right?

Your solution to that is to get the HB delrin diff hub set, the outdrives are slightly longer, and they have the metal diff rings on, oh, they look cool too

90% of racers care about rotating mass, plus aluminium outdrives wear out a lot quicker than delrin. I had some for a Pro2 ages ago and they didn't last 5 minutes!

Guys;

Being a long time HPI supporter and that most of you have raced many other Electric Car besides HPI's.

Why would you pick the Pro-4 over some of the other recently released Cars (like the Barracuda or Yok SD) ? Let's ignor the obvious like parts availibility.

Thanks,

I've been running my HB diff for a year now one meeting a week and it's still holding up very strongly, there's nothing wrong with it at all.

Two years of testing and development in the car. Very good looking graphite materials, no plastic junk. And Hara was behind the testing and design.

It's a pain in the XXS waiting for the Pro 4... at the moment, I'll stay with my PRO 3 till the Pro 4 arrive here in my place and I'll be the one among all to finish my LHS stock!!!

Yeah.... Pro 4
