Then, seing as the diffcase now clamps down on the bearings harder, i dremelled off the little lip in the bearing holes.
It has made my chassis flat but my car still seems very easy to tweak, the slightest twist in any direction an there u go --> Tweak

Does anybody else have this problem? I think ill try some new diffcases.
I also found this very same thing with the cases. The problem area(s) seems to be at the Front & Rear edges of the BOTTOM case halves only.
The TOP cases are very true and with just some slight laping are perfect.

What I did to mine was to file the ends VERY carefully until the halves fit together evenly without any rocking. If you go too far, you will need to correct the bearing fit on the input shaft end.

I believe that this (warping) is a Molding problem and hopefully HPI will be working to correct this in the future.

If someone can help me attach a pic to my new listing on the "for sale" thread, I thank you. I have a digi-cam, but my pix look like a wide-screen TV

I don't think BMI or PRP is selling chassis to solve tweak problems. I think they are selling them for carpet racing. If it helps you get your car square, then that's just a benefit.

Out of all the people that are concerned about the tweaking can you actually tell the car is tweaked while you are driving or is it mostly been noticed when layed flat on a board.
My PRO 4 suffers from slight tweak but it still handles great with or with out tweak and at our club there are about 10 PRO 4s out of 40 cars and they all do very well compared to other chassis.

If you're driving a majorly tweaked car... it will turn better in one direction than the other...

I think that is the point, there may be a few PRO 4s with major tweak but I would of thought that with most it was minor because I dont think Hpi would have released them if this was a major problem. And up to a point a car turning one way better can be compensated for with other settings and a some people are looking for that perfect car to improve they lap times.

Default TWEAK..

haven't had any tweak issues...

For the PRO4,... I tighten all screws (in a cross-pattern) that mount into the bulkheads first, beginning with the central-most four..., then the outer four. Next i tighten the screws that fasten into the rear motormount and front bellcrank posts, also in a cross pattern.. Last is to be the single center post screw..

just think of it as 3 sets of screws to be secured, each set gets a cross-pattern..

hope this helps..

Default need help with ride height/tweak

hi everyone...got me a new pro 4, and car is awesome...just need some help/suggestions though...

i used the integy alignment plates and MIP tweak board to get everything aligned correctly, but after the car balances out on the tweak board, the side of the chassis with the batteries is noticeably lower than the side with the electronics...

the right side (electronics) is higher by 2mm than the left (battery)side...ride height measured from the center of the sides of the chassis is: right- 3.5mm, and left- 5.5mm...

the car pretty much turns equal, and tracks straight, but i get some scraping of the chassis on the battery side...any way to raise the chassis without having to compromise the tweak???

is adding weight to the left side the only alternative???

all of my adjustments are what the manual says...

thanx in advance...

You know it's funny, I didn't think I had any tweak either....until I read what a couple of persons on here did to check for tweak on theirs....I thought I was safe until I turned my car upside down and checked if all four shock towers were touching at the same time. .....and I had one that wasn't
