Well, I took the afternoon off of work to determine my problem...and I found it. Turns out I had one to many shims between the diff bearing and the diff. Took out one shim and the thing slid together like butta'!

So now I've got the slightest amount of side to side play in both of my diffs, but the drivetrain is MUCH smoother!! So I guess I have a building tip now..... don't use too many shims when shimming your diffs!!

Many thanks to Bhudda, RandyB, and Downforce for their advice!!

cartman - Yeah, You need to shim it, then tighten all the screws to check the shimming. You might have to pull it apart and re-shim it if it's to loose, or to tight.

Default parts is parts

Hey all,

I do plan on buying all my spares from the LHS-but since they have none right now-I need to know about online shops. Well-one in particular that was having a free shipping offer for all orders over $50??? Anyone recall?

Thanks,
Ray

Ray..

Speedworld did have free shipping at one point...but I think that is over...
Tower has majority of the parts in stock...and stock car parts are only $3.99 shipping.

Are we still running 50W shock oil, or is softening it up a bit, and adjusting spring W better?

I've been running Losi 50wt oil. I built the car with Losi oil since I have each of the weights.

I don't think I'd go much lighter on carpet, but asphalt I would bet I'd drop a weight. I can't wait for outdoor season

I'm in S. Florida and we
have a 125' x 75' tennis court grade
asphalt track. The weekend weather
will be in the low to mid 80's, not a
chance of rair.

Coral Springs is about 4 hours south, but the track is 100%!
Look at the "Florida Racing" area,
there is a link to all the tracks down here, in one of the threads.

Yeah, Tim has been hooking me up with the local info down there, and I have been browsing the FL forum.
