the black one the springs sit lower...thus the shock adjusting nut is lower on the shock body...
I have what you have and no problems with 4.5 - 5mm ride heights. even with the shock collars all the way to the top...you'll still be able to get 5mm ride height.

Those X-pattern tires are larger than normal. Also drop your body. The HPI bodys have cut lines on them for looks. If you race it cut it to fit.

I bet its the X-pattern tires then. I thought they were a normal 26mm size. What tires are you running? I'd like to compare the diameters to see if thats the problem. I can take a pic without the bumper a bit later. Thanks for all the help everyone!

I don't think its the x patterns.... Their sidewall profile isn't any taller than other tires.

How are you measuring your ride height?

I'm measuring from the ground to the bottom of the graphite chassis - maybe that is the problem? The wheels/tires measure 65mm in diameter overall.

Or maybe I'm not measuring the droop correctly - I was using the droop gauge, setting the chassis flat/square on it and measuring the A-arm at the center of where the knockle pin enters the end of the arm.

If you could, please take a pic of the car looking at it from the side. I'm still not sure how your getting 11mm of ride height if you built the car as per the instructions....

droop has nothing to do with ride height...

I just measured my HPI 33R tires... they are 60mm

OK, here is the car from the front - compare it to the picture of zombie's - there is definitely a difference!
