going to turn this into a full blown VTA car for a second class at big races. I was thinking of going USGT but it would be killer in the 25.5 class. When I ran the shaft Tamiya car in VTA the corner speed and top end was killer. On bigger tracks I would accelerate down the entire straight. This car has been in the garage for years and the drive train is still butter smooth.

Done for the night. Got a late start as I made sure my main car was completely done. Yard work tomorrow and then back at it. Rebuilding the rear diff will be cake and the shocks no problem. I just don’t know what to pit on setup wise. I’ll have to have to guess on what I think the car should have. Springs will also be a guess as I’m so use to the short 2.6 or 2.7 type. This was back in the milky white Tamiya’s or the Hara dprings which I still have😎. I just don’t want to suck.......hahahaha

First practice day with the car and is has a mean off power push. I need a basic setup for the car possibly with the Exotek chassis. Later on today I will have time to sit a search the net for Pro4 setups. If I remember correctly Petitrc did have any with useable links attached.

Don't forget, drive shaft cars don't have the drag of belted cars. In addition to set up, you may need to increase drag brakes to give you that off power turn in that belted cars naturally have.

This might be handy too;

Can't believe there are no recent pics of my car in this thread... maybe it's not really a Pro4 anymore? lol

Ready for another test run tomorrow. Gotta give Mike R. His props for the setup. I feel bad placing a killer Reedy setup on a VTA car but I gotta start somewhere 🤷🏾‍♂️

Are there low-profile version of shock tower? How long are your shocks?
