im almost sure it doesnt fit... i looked at both spools side by side, the cyclone bulkheads are wider than the transmission housing of the pro4, meaning the width will not fit due to the spacing. i was looking to run a spool in my Pro4 recently.... and have both cars.. if they were the same width, the shock towers would also be interchangeable but too narrow on the Pro4.

Be 100% sure. The cyclone spool IS too wide for a pro 4. Best bet is to by the composite diff halves as they are cheap, take out the balls and use tc5 slipper pads. Be prepared to replace the diff halves often as spools put lots of stress on the outdrives. If you are racing on a track that needs a spool there will be no other way of being on the pace.

That's a pretty good idea - even better than sandpaper, IMO...

As for the DCJs, I think they might work, with my only concern being that the driveshafts will be located 2mm further out from the center of the spool on either side.

You might need to look for an aftermarket replacement driveshaft, as I think the part has been discontinued.

Recently I came across another thread that mentioned someone that builds custom driveshafts for older shaft driven cars. If I can find the thread, I'll post the link here for you.

Sabongi,

Try this link for Whip Racing's website - you'll need a complete driveshaft to allow a new shaft to be made for you, but here's an option for replacing your existing shaft:

http://www.wideopenwest.com/~ewipple...cf_shafts.html

For simplicity's sake, you can refer to this thread:

Carbon Fiber Shafts for Touring cars

The suspension is very well designed so that's a plus. Drawback : the bevel gears are veeeery brittle, it's IMO the Achille's heel of the car. So with nowadays' 13.5 powers it might be a bit fragile, especially with a spool...

Depends on the price, obviously. More than 100 dollars and I would refuse without a single regret... If it's less than 100... it's up to you.

I'd upgrade the diff screw immediately for 13.5.

I broke 3 or so in a year of 17.5 RCGT.

I still have one new green painted Stratus, and one slightly used red Stratus to sell. If you need, I can throw in a beater body or two. Email me if interested.
