Hi alls,

Firstly, nice pics miltot.

Secondly i have a big race this weekend. I've rebuilt an old diff that i had knocking around - its got ceramic balls in it and is in pretty good nick - only had a few runs until the bolt snapped. Anyway, i've built it now and it doesn't seem too bad, very smooth except for a couple of small points where it is really gritty.

I think this is causing it to make a ticking sound - if i hold the spur and spin the rear wheels fast enough with my fingers i can hear an intermittent tick.

Is this a sign that the diff is about to conk out on me, or shouldi be OK for my race? It's not perfect i know, but I cant do a whole lot else in the short space of time that ive got.

I just don't wanna turn u at the track at 8am witha ticking timebomb, especially as its a Sunday!

Thanks.

Default pro4

Hello guys,

i recently bought a pro 4 but my hardcase lipos don't fit it perfectly, they're too tall for stock battery brace and don't "sit" securely enough. Anyone has made mods to solve these issues? I'm using a intellect 42000mah hard cased.

Tks!

Would a new BL motor and Lipo's w/new esc all fit on an Pro4? And would I be able to gear it right for 17.5 BL? Or should I just get a new car. I'm getting back into touring racing after a few years off. Thanks

it will fit... but dont be surprised with the size of the spur and pinion gears you may be running.. my final drive is a 4.2 with a 98 and 54 spur gear.. with a 21.5 brushless.

Default Hope someone gets this in time!

Hey guys. Got a pro4 And having some serious trouble with it being loose in the corners. No idea how to fix it. Running the hara setup int he back of the book(one way and all which I like) but its loose as hell in the turns. What should I do to fix this??

Also after switching to a one way I hear this clicking noise as I drive, and it gets louder in the turns. I really like how the car handles with the one way, minus ht car being loose, which its loose no matter what I'm running. The rear just wants to whip around the corners instead of carving them.

If you hear it all the time but a little more in the corners then it sounds like the bevel gears. A ticking sound indicates 1 or 2 teeth aren't good.

I have always found 1 ways cause the rear end to be hard to control. Best to use them on high traction surfaces only. Have you tried a spool?

Good to hear a few people still running pro 4's! Still the best car for 540 and maybe even stock.

hey everyone. well i have a pretty stupid question but here it goes. ive had my pro4 for awhile but havent play'd with it in a while. been messing around with my Avid lately. the question is im going through the gear box's and making sure everything is koo but noticed that the gear box fills not really tight but kinda snug filling! is that the way it fills compared to a belt driven car. cause the belt is so dam smooth. Thx for the help in advance.
