already tried...won't fit the cyclone..
the best solution is get the CF strap and mounts from the TC5.

You guys have to understand that these R.C. Cars(Gears) can`t really handle Brushless Motors.....It was said in many R.C. Magazines(The guys who made these things know what they`re talking about.).

I`ve had My Pro 4 since June 2006 and I haven`t had any Gear problems yet(I run a 10-Turn Motor in it).

Take Care

Proper shimming, they can handle it. One has to be wary not to break too hard and perform proper maintennance. Since resurrecting "my flagship" car, it hasnt given me any problems. I've come to expect a stripped bevel here and there. Eventually, I'll find a fabricator to make the bevels and ring gears in metal and the car will be "bullet-proof".

You can run it almost standard, just try 40wt oil everywhere, gold front springs and pink rear, and stick with a diff to start with. A one-way is nearly always faster on carpet, but hard to drive.

I'm thinking about buying a Pro 4 as I've always liked them, but was curious how parts support is now? Any particular site you guys use for parts besides ebay?
Thanks

I think youll find that with most people going to belt drive cars, there are still a fair few odds and ends around for the Pro 4. But yeah, parts supply is something you should probably be wary of.

I havent bought anything for mine in a while, but i suspect the thing to watch out for is stock of the bevels gears which can get crunched a bit when you use a one-way or spool. Its important with the bevel gears that you soak them in hot water and shim them well (shimmed so they are not tight or too loose).

The other thing to look out for may be the plate around the diff covers which holds the upper camber links.

I personally would look for stuff by emailing rc-champ or looking around any of the typical online stores.... (i think there are a fair few based in hong kong which still have odds and ends).

Also keep in mind that the majority of the suspension parts are shared with the cyclone (including typical breakables like knuckles, rear hub carriers and arms).
