Out here in sunny Ca. their are not to many indoor carpet tracks so I race mostly out doors asphalt tracks and the smell of Paragon is noticeable,I dont think I would want to be in a closed room with that smell,One question,how does jack the gripper work on asphalt? I would use it just to get the smell out of my car,(real one) I have a 1 hr. drive home and I dont really like the smell of Paragon.

Jack the gripper works on asphalt also. If itīs a dusty track I donīt use any tire additive. Just cleaning the tires with brake cleaner.

Here is the MSDS on wintergreen oil, its not cancer causing but it is definatly not good for you, but then again what is good for you these days? i love paragon. it works great on outdoor tracks.

Default Jack The Gripper vs. Paragon!!

Guys;

I had THOUGHT that at most National indoor events Wintergreen based Traction addives were BANNED anyways. Just make a phase out of the stuff over a few months. Make using it a reason for being expelled from the facillity after that.

BTW, Paragon has a new NON-Wintergreen formula availible now that is supposed to grip as good as the standard formula.

Jack is in STOCK.... I have yet to see the stock shelf empty... If your local track would like to sell Jack just have them call Corally USA and speak with Rob, Mike or Ken about setting up an account or you can order it direct from them too.

PS keep an eye our for the ASSASSIN coming soon....

I liked using jack the ripper (Corally) and then switched to TQ. I don't like TQ as much as jack...need to get more ripper compound. My track doesn't allow for Paragon so I never experienced any of those problems.

I really think such additives should be banned universally by the authorities of the land, and not just by track owners and race organisers. These people are all supposed to be responsible persons.
Ridiculous. It might be bad but there are no studies or evidence showing grave bodily harm, LETS BAN IT! [sarcasm]

Knee jerk reactions and feel good legislation are always so productive.

I can see prohibiting it from indoor racing but i see no issues at all using paragon outdoors.

Default paragon

If they can ban it at the nationals in Minn. then there is no reason why they cant at the champs in Cleve. It would not be hard to figure out if someone shows up to tech with paragon since you would probably smell it. I for one hope that it happens.....it would be nice to not have a headache every raceday!!!

I race at Trackside and I had to switch over to a non wintergreen compound. I use to run paragon. Now i run corally jack the gripper all the time. I works just as well if not better than the paragon.

Yes it has a faint kerosene type of smell, but thats what it smells like to me. I can't smell it unless i put my nose to the can and take a deep whiff.so no, virtually no smell at all
