Out of curiosity when and where did you pick it up, I've been waiting a month and I ordered it directly from Speedmerchant.

He has sent out over 90 already after Vegas and should be done with almost all by now.

Default Rev. 5's

Hey guys

Thanks for the mention guys. Yes, we had 6 over the weekend..only have 1 left! They flew off the shelves! Bruce..send more ;-)

We do still have a nice supply of parts left for it though. Tom is that you talking about your 12L4??

I built a Rev. 5 for a customer today and I'm gonna run it tomorrow to get it dialed in. If it runs half as good as it looks it will be awesome. All I can say is Bruce has out done himself.

Good luck to all at Cleveland..wish I could be there!

Thumbs up

hey everyone just got a rev5 and was wondering if anyone has a med bite setup for the car.
A setup I've personally like has been,

Front:
Camber 1.5 degree.
Caster 3 degree.
Tire BSR Purple (Jaco Prism) 1.65"
3.5mm Ride Height.
Inner camber/caster holes.
.21 Springs.

Rear:
Red Tube Spooge in tubes.
30wt Shock Oil / Red ASC Spring.
Tire BSR 2xPink 1.75"
3.5mm Ride Height.
Medium-Tight Diff.

If the traction is low-medium I run the tires without gluing the side wall. Once traction has come up I start gluing the side wall. Traction compound (Jack) left on for 18-20 minutes approx.

...I think this is basically the "base setup" that Bruce told me to run initially on the car.

Got my Rev5 today, I went out to 360 RC Speedway and picked up the last Rev5 that Sal and Donny had on the shelf. I planned to run my Rev4.5 today, but decided to build up the Rev5 since there seemed to be plenty of time.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the car... my kit was missing a few items, but Donny took care of it and before long I had the car out for its first runs.

The car is sweet, Bruce really outdid himself with this one.

Also, a BIG thanks to Donny and Sal for opening up this fantastic racing facility... I'll be running at 360 for the next two weekends, then up to Speedzone for the regional...

You still got to take the shock off, but
at least you don't have to unbolt the bottom of the chassis and shoehorn it in, then reconnect the charge leads

Now that Cleveland is finished hopefully they can get the website updated. I e-mailed Speed Merchant the other day asking about getting a front suspension kit and have yet to hear back from them. Hopefully I'll hear something soon because I want to put that front end on my Darkside.
