Say i get a new motor for my car , and the nearest track it 5 miles away would should i test down my street or .... what ..

Are you serious? Ok, I'll take the bait. If you have access to the track and they dont charge a grip to get pratice time, pratice where you will race. This will give you an edge on some of your competition.

If this your first car: get a 27stock and learn to drive and how to setup the car for racing. Then when you are familliar with that and racing go racing in the 19T spec class. A good motor for the 19T class is the Team Checkpoint Money Motor.
Also learn how to maintain your car, probably the most important factor!
