They pinched down on my spool when I tried them and the 416 sleeves did not fit.

Can I use the 416 lower deck on my 415?

Is it too different?

Ya know...

This car could do no wrong on the carpet. And that's a good thing, since I'm planning to get whipped in Vegas next month. But man, since I moved to a part of the country where asphalt reigns supreme in the summer... I've struggled. Some of it is learning how to drive on a different surface, no doubt. But, the car has been a LOT less forgiving overall on the tarmac. My struggles continue. :-( I removed the center screw on the top deck, and that seemed to help. I started with Victor's Reedy setup, and have changed a lot since then.

Speaking of Vegas, if any of you plan to attend, lets chat. A non-team group of 416 drivers could be a good resource at a race with no parts from the on-site hobby shop.

Depending on the asphalt I'd recommend the setup Ed posted a few pages back over the Victor's one from the Reedy race. I've been using a very similar setup for a while now and the car is very easy to drive and really quick

I'll give it a shot. We run on smooth asphalt that's often dusty, and not treated with anything. The only traction sauce we can run is WD40. The tires come off the track looking polished, almost like they do on carpet. It's an odd setup for sure.

Hey Mark

Short lesson about rebound.

Shock rebound is the amount that the shock shaft rebounds back when fully pushed in. The percent is of the full travel of the shock. I use 50 percent and it works great for me

I think at ED can light more this...
