Really like the the look of the new DCJ's. Look a lot nicer than the Spec-r offering. Are they more durable?

In my 416X car the right 18T pulley is very close to the upper deck carbon. There is no brushing but very near. Is it normal? Thanks.

Does anyone knows where to get the upperdeck? Mine is broken and it is now months looking at the usual stores and no re stock of the part.
I am running a TRF417 now and just need this part to finish the revision of the 416X to sell it.

Figured I would post the link here. Seems that this is a niche type car cuz i'm getting no interest in the f/s thread. Love the car, but new addition to family and no time to use it.

Hi guys i have just purchased myself a tamiya 416x with the smokem chassis. I am new to tamiya gear and was wondering if anyone has a good base setup for carpet racing with foams? We're racing on a surface thats sort of cork floor indoor. I was thinking its similar to the carpet in a way and just need a starting point. Cheers pat

A friend of mine bought an excellent condition 416X for $200 about a year ago.

I am going to give the rear gear diff. another try.
I am running 17.5 blinky on a med. to large carpet (crc ozite) track. What is a good starting point for the diff. oil?
As a side note I have been trying to calm the car down. It has had a very aggressive steering with the rear of the car wanting to kick out mid to exit corner. I have got the car under control and feeling really close to on target. So I am hoping the gear diff. could be a good tool to fine tune this issue.

I went from 1000 oil to 2000 to calm it down a bit and it helped a lot..... The ball diff is another way to keep it stable on carpet.....

Thanks for the input. I will give 2000 a try. I have the ball diff. on standby.

anyone have a good setup for a low grip carpet track? i've got a 416 with a smokem chassis and while the car is awesome, its very inconsistent. goes from no grip for the first bit to traction rolling towards the end.
