Luckily it was just the belt on mine, though it took me a minute to figure out it was the belt. We had our state champs race saturday and I stripped the belt in the first qual. Though the fast guys were turning 25 laps and I turned 23 with FWD. Just sucked cause I had no spare belts so I was done for the day after that.

personally I have run low friction belts in my mod 416 for a while now with no hassels and when the low friction coating is worn off, i know its time to fit new ones, the std belts are a little thicker and maybe a bit tougher, but keep in mind that if your belts are getting damaged quickly, more than likely you have a worn or damaged pulley (usually the centre one's) causing your belts to go

Thanks, that's the kind of info I was looking for. The belts that are on the car, I have been running for 2 years and I assume they were the originals as I bought the car used, I don't think I have a fast wear problem. Thanks again for the info, I can now purchase with confidence.

Yes, but it is usually pretty tough on your outdrives.

Too bad it's showcased at a toy fair and not an electronics fair . . .but then again there would be no where else to show it

is there a chart or guide that tells you what suspension mount yeilds what toe in for the rear?
Also, i heard that giving the front arms a toe out sweep helps with handeling of the car. Has anyone tried this? and if so what suspension mount do you change, the FF or the FR. any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Go to this link, there's good info on the blocks and a downloadable excel doc which shows all combinations of blocks to use.
