This is the post I was talking about.

Default front one way

Hi All,
the new TRF Li-Po chassis comes with either a one way spool or without. What do you use a one way spool for? I'm driving on asphalt so not sure if I need one?

cheers

All I wanna know is when the tamiya lipo chassis will be available without the oneway, in a place that can get it to my american doorstep.

It's scheduled for release between Aug 5th and Aug 8th in Japan, with EMS shipping you could probably have it at your doorstep by Aug 13th.

question: running the front rear arm mount higher than the front will give me more or less steering? and also stock setting is no spacers in the front and .5mm spacer in rear under arm mount, i added a .5mm spacer in the front and put a total of 1mm in the rear, how will the car handle with the higher arm mount?

thanks for any info

Carlos, if you raise only the front rear arm mount it will give you anti-squat, which will give you more onpower steering. If you continue to raise both front rear and rear rear arm mounts it will raise the rear roll center, which will free up the rear end and give you more steering overall.

He might also mean he is running anti-dive, .5mm under the front rear - we really need to give the suspension mounts nicknames, any suggestions?

If you are running anti-dive, you will get more initial steering and less mid corner. Compared to the 416X kit setup, adding 0.5mm extra under all the suspension blocks will maintain a similar balance but the car will sit much flatter through corners. If the grip is high, more corner speed will be the result, if the grip is low the car will slide around.

thanks TJ, thanks Craig... i kinda know what those settings do but i noticed a long time ago that each car seems to react differently to these adjustments so iwanted to get other 416 owners opinions. TJ are you going to run rcgt or just touring?

This new lipo. chassis. Will it be the same 2.5mm? Will this not make the chassis stiffer and better for carpet rubber racing? I will be racing rubber on carpet so this is one car I am considering.
