surprised that rcmarket haven't reacted to this comment...

download the manual from tamiya website, look for the bulkheads part number, and search for it in rcmodel or rcmarket website.

or if you have time... just browse through them

anyway, when the tamiya lipo deck becomes available I'll be upgrading the bulkheads on my 416 to the X ones, so I have 2 identical cars

Picked up a WE edition 416 yesterday. My idea is to use the exotek chassis on the car since that puts the battery close to the X battery position. Is this logic correct? Should I try X bulk heads and top deck to use the Tamiya lipo chassis?

Trying to think of simple way to get a good lipo chassis.

I would try the car first and then go for the Exotek chassis setup so you can at least have an idea how each one works and what the differences are.

Is this going to be a black 416 because if so it will be even more dialed looking. Seen a few black anodized cars that have been posted that you did and they are just killer looking.

My only issue with trying one chassis over the other is that I like to shoe goo my servos on the chassis. So I like to get my chassis close to how I want it (specific chassis, wire layout, ECT) and I keep them that way.

And yes, this one will be black anodized , I could not have it any other way! Just got done with a customers 416 actually, he should be posting pictures as soon as he gets the car rebuilt. I will be using red shims and nuts, to bring back a classic Tamiya flavor.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Shoe goo is a cool product that works great for r/c.

I have a TRF416X and I would like to try this mod regards spec-r one... cause I will be running modified class and spec-r looks not good enough for this...

So I would like to know part numbers, step by step proccess to use the NT1 gear diff.

Yep. The car changes direction better with the belts flipped and the weight more centred, you also need less weight to balance the car.

Also Jilles has said the reduced width of the chassis allows a softer setup as the chassis touches down less
