That 479 euros is 717 US which would make it the most expensive touring out by about 200 us from what I've seen.

Regarding the price you over in the US can't really compare with Europe, especially with the current exchange rate. FYI most top level TC's are 400-500 EUR in Europe.

A couple of notes on the build so far:

- motor mount/centre support and right middle bulkhead are changed in a few ways and all beautifully machined with super precision
- layshaft bearings are not flanged anymore, bulks changed correspondently
- front bulks are longer as you know, holes for old bulks still on chassis plate
- battery holes moved back as on original 416
- suspension blocks are F: 1C-1C, R: 1XA-1E

You could use the new motor mount/centre mount on a WE chassis plate as the holes are the same. However, since the motor is moved in, the machined part under the motor on the chassis plate now goes further towards the centre. Thus this might interefere with your motor, unless you use something like a SP Competition 3.0. Also note the change to the way the layshaft is mounted with different bearings.

Thanx for the info
so if we want to change to 416X motor mount we have to buy the opposite bulkhead as we also have to use normal bearings...
and have to file the chassis 1mm towards to centre to clear under the motor
cheers

Hy guys!
My car has just arrived, put it togerher but i got a HUGE problem.
The motor don't fit in the motor mount.
HPI SATURN 27T, tamiya stock,fireball 15T etc.
This type of motors have bigger front bearing and they won't fit in to mount. The mounting oval hole is too small.
I didn't know that the car is only compatible with BL motors.

Bear in mind you would also lose two screw positions off the top deck. They are the two screws that the trf guys have previously used when wanting a bit more flex out of the car, but don't seem to run anymore... So it would affect your car if you ran the new motor bulkheads with the old rear (especially if you run thoose screws currently!)
If you want to keep the car as stiff, you'll need the new rear bulkheads, and the X top deck too.

HiH

Oh, I just read in the other thread that you didn't buy a 416, but rather one of the Chinese counterfeits. So, Dremel away without remorse!

I did not say anything about what car i have.
It's a car with the same design with the 416we and it never will be a tamiya, till I change all the parts for tamiya spares.

(I found alloy spares at rcmarket without package but sold with tamiya item numbers.I dont think they are all tamiya spares...Also 3racing makes alloy parts for it.Who knows that the clones's alloy doesn't came from the 3racing's factory?)
If you didn't buy a clone you can't say it's a junk. But if yout think i'm stupid just ignore me from reading my posts...

I wrote down in the clone's topic why i bought the car.

Don't be so defensive. I never said the car is junk or that you are stupid. I didn't make any comment at all except to imply that I wouldn't feel the same about cutting up a counterfeit car as a genuine one.

It can accommodate brushed motors.

I have fitted the Tamiya Super Stock RZ Motor and had no problem with it. Fitted perfectly.

Thanks for the pics kentech - very jealous... Your diffs are mounted high. Is this ok with the spool or is there extra clearance with the 416X?
