just ordered myself a 416we (dont think that the X would make me much of a better driver than the existing version anyway )

what 48dp spur do you recommend for the car?

and i`m planning to try the 17.5 class on carpet, any recomendations on gearing? (orion and speed passion 17.5) will be driving on carpet with rubber tires

It's a good lipo but you'll need a lipo tray to run it because it's too high, or you could go a smaller capacity.

Not sure about 17.5 but I use a 72T (with 31T pinion for 10.5). Maybe something between 63-69T?

The chassis will work with the WE parts without any problems. Please also take into account that it does move the batts back about 5mm, this will make the car slightly more aggressive. If you are running rubber tires, the WE chassis will work fine unless your track is tight and has a lot of bite.

4) Front toe block c/w kit (1C + 1C)
5) Rear toe block c/w kit (1XA + 1F; 3.5 deg)

Sugg to get the following as fine tuning
1) 1D + 1E toe block (Rear)
2) Ti turnbuckle (Front Upper link)
3) WE wheel lock nuts

Sugg to get the following as spares
1) Arm + Knuckle + C-Hub + Belts + Spool Cups
thanks what about bearings, shims and screws?

For some reason Tamiya wouldn't approve the trip for the team guys. Was truly the biggest let down of the week. (nothing scotty or even marc and Jilies could of done about it). Was great watching those guys last year.

Meh, we still had foreign stars shining this year. Juho and Naoto were on fire, and Andy's driving was incredibly consistent.

No doubt, but no one can argue that the TRF boys are on fire... Hell I can't remember the last race they didn't have at least two out of the top three.

Call me greedy, but the more fast guys you can get at a race the better!

Cool thing about Andy coming is he did it on his own dime. I really didn't mean to sound like I wasn't glad they all came though.

It will take out entry steering and give a bit more exit steering.

thats a given, always stock those with any race car. Also get spare hingepins, i've found some bent ones in my cars. But moreover you should be stocking TONS of spares as parts do wear. Diff balls wear, thrust bearings, diff balls, pulley's, belts, CVD's, axles, bearings, ball cups, etc.

On this car I find the aluminum turnbuckles and aluminum ballstuds a weak point and are prone to breakage. You may want to stock spares or switch to hardened steel peices (tamiya makes these) and titanium tie rods.
