im using esc lrp tc spec,bl motor speed passion feigao 3.5 t with 5 cell...what ratio may i have to get

Have you actually tried to balance the car with LiPo at a lighter weight?

I ran mine this weekend at the Ansmann GP over here in the uk. Weight limit for 10.5 was 1400g. I didn't do anything special with the car, but was easily able to get down to that weight, without requring anything special.

Took all the weight off my chassis, and underneath the cells, leaving 60g of lead on the outside of the cells. I'm also running a pretty big hefty fan unit, but couldn't be bothered to take that off... was the balance out? Yes, a little bit, but nowhere near as much as expected. On the tweak board, required a turn extra on the left front and half a turn on the right rear, that was it.
Car turned equal circles on the track, and drove straight... With that fan unit off (or lighter one used), and possbily reciver and or PT relocated, would not be far off at all....

Tamiya TRF's seem to be given a farily long cycle life... afterall the first 415 was released back in 2004... I would reckon that there is an update edition in the works, with a few little extras the team have been testing, but doubt there's a complete new car in the works... in all honesty, what actually needs changing?

Yes I agree with you Ed, 416 WE is a great car. thats why i'm going to get one.
But I am afraid that if I buy WE now, then after a couple months new version is released.
Knowing that they are preparing new update on 416, I think I'll wait for that.
but I dont know how long i can wait

I haven't seen many new parts being tested honestly, you should be fine getting a WC kit and just updating it with whatever parts might come out, which might not be for some time...

Can you give me a hint.

I got those new ver2 blocks to my WE and now i have to ask, do i have to still use that 0.5 shim rear front? Front rear was clear and i took off that 3mm shim

I ment that manul setting says ff 0 fr 3 and rf 0.5 rr 0.5 in normal suspension blocks

Just make sure things

Krat,

You should be fine in making way for the 416WE.

The only parts I'm looking forward to is the 20t centre pulley. Gives me an option on gearing. I would love to a have a diff cover (plastic) instead of round tape.

And I don't intend to get the "417" even if it's released as I'm having fun with the 416. So should you!

Assuming you want to retain that kit setup you referred to, you would need 0.5 spacers for the rear front blocks.

The next hobby show for Tamiya will be the Tokyo Hobby Show September 24-27. If there is a new 416 coming out this year, it would be shown there. If you can wait that long, it might be worth it. I don't foresee any new kit coming this year though. Most parts I have seen being tested were things like the shock towers, and a new center pulley. The shock towers came out, and I don't see a new kit coming out for a new pulley.

Exactly, lol. I would think it might be a while before we see a new car from Tamiya, now that the rules are changing, it is going to take a new platform to get the most of the new rulebook.

Where can one find a dialed carpet/rubber tire setup for this car?

Spool/10.5/Protoform Mazda 6/Lipo/ and sorex 28r tires..
