Orion, Trinity, Core, or any other? Just wondering if they fit in this new Tamiya.
The way the bulkhead is shaped - it looks like they made the car to fit Lipo's...

Cheers for the link Kentech.

Noticed a few more things, browsing through the instructions

1) Wheel base adjustment on the outer pin on the rear hub now, as well as inner pin. Only 1mm worth, but it's still there

2) No chance to lose any of the little top hat collers from the front steering, even if a screw falls out...Yay! Interesting to note that it also looks like the front hub has been lowered

Makes me wonder if Tamiya have had a long hard look at the Cyclone, and moved the suspension geometry of the 416 closer towards the Cyclone.... as the HPI front hub mod does a similar thing as the new LWT components. No bad thing though...

Regards
Ed

Default Shafts

Anyone know if you can use the 42mm or 46mm shafts as I don't fancy the alloy ones in the front if I use a spool

I've always like Tamiya cars but hated everything after the old original 415 suspension. The Cyclone I always felt was like a tighter fitting/less slop Tamiya but not blue :P

The fact that you will not lose the "hats" as much is worth getting the 416! LOL When all of us were running TA05Rs I can't tell you how many times we were searching for those things

LiPo's fits perfectly.
We are using both 3200 "Carbon" and 4800 Platinum Orion LiPo packs.

hehe... I feel the pain, had it happen last time out. Scoured the whole track to find the bloody thing, then got back to my pit table to find someone had found them for me, and put them on the table... regular occurance you see

Speedtech is supposed to have them in stock today or tomorrow...they're on the way to the shop in a big brown truck.

He's getting a bunch in for pre-orders, but he's got a few extra.
