Ricky are you desperate for a bottom deck? The parts do get restocked often enough, it's not like they're never available.

What he means is there's a chinese knock-off of the 416 which costs $170.00

HEY SHOT for all the advice i think its as good as new!

yo chaps/ladies, i think i have the durability issue sorted with the belts etc... but at this point i would still like to remove some of the understeer (corner exit) do you have any tips?

also i would like to know, if i run 0 degree offset tyres how does that affect my roll centers?
thanks in advance

that doesn't effect roll center....
only track width.

Well the center of the contact patch is part of the roll center calculation, so of course it has "some" effect. Bringing the wheels in closer to the center of the car will slightly lower the roll center. Probably not enough to make any kind of difference...

As for the Chinese 416... seriously guys, just say No! After all Tamiya were the people who put all the effort into making/designing/testing the thing in the first place....

Anyway, if you want a Japanese replica, just go get a BD5....

Not to mention, I have a funny feeling that the chinese knock off 416 isn't quite the same quality as the real thing. Just because all you see is aluminum and carbon fiber doesn't mean that years of testing havent gone into figuring out what the best aluminum and carbon fiber materials are.

I know a guy who bought a knock off corally 12th scale. Looked just like the real thing, but there was nothing connecting the left side of the diff to the axle.. 1wd 12th scale anyone?

Today was practice day for the state titles and my 416 is really hooked up. I can't wait for the racing to begin
