Tamiya TRF416 / TRF416WE / TRF416X

Myan_gsr our tracks sound very similar, ours is a converted tennis court and we race at night under lights as well as weekends. Victor Wilck's reedy race setup from last year is a great starting point, just incline the front shocks one hole on the tower and raise the rear RC a fraction
Redbones/jimmy I haven't tried the hara springs but I know someone who runs them on his 416 with good results. I'm not sure if it means anything but all the tamiya pros run the hpi's and hara was using them too at the worlds.
I wouldn't worry about getting a full set of the hpi's tho, I've just got a set (4) of silver and blue and they've served me well at every track I've raced on... asphalt only
P.s more ackerman spacers as suggested above will hurt on power steering not help it

also, i would like to know which car the front one way parts come from? i dont wanna have to search each car until i fond the part number that match any help would be greatly appreciated

The front one-way parts come from the original 416(42106).
I read somewhere on here that the x-ray springs do fit the TRF dampers and spring perches.

ok thanks for all the help do you know if i should be doing anything special to maintain the teflon bearings?

The old colored XRay springs fit no problem. The new Black XRay springs still fit, but they are just a hair big. HPI and Hara springs fit no problem.

The HPI springs are a teeny tiny bit too big for the spring retainer. I've never had an issue in normal use, but in one big off I had a spring jump the retainer. Square was going to bring out some retainers that would be a better fit but I dunno if they were ever released? Dai?

So even though the car tweaks out just fine, and the circles are set the side side-to-side, it still wants to step out very easily when turning right. I've tried a new body, tires, shocks, check hinge pins and bulkheads, etc. Anything else I should be looking at? Can a diff being too lose affect this?
