Can't wait to get it, I'm sure I'll get to check some out at the track this Sat though. My car 416 is working so well now that I'm in no real rush to switch, lol.

Does anybody make the toe blocks from something other than rice cakes? Cause I'm damn, damn sick of bending the front rear 1D block. I've got the long screws in there, but it doesn't matter. And it's not like I'm having spectacular crashes, these are pretty minor blows on very forgiving boards. It's getting really old.

Just some long steel screws. It's one of the things Ed suggests in his 416 tips section. It's only the block in the front that's flipped over that gives me trouble. I've heard from a number of other people that's a pretty well-known problem with the Tamiya cars.

That's really my only complaint. I wish I could buy one that's thicker, or made from steel or something. With LiPo, we really don't need bendy, fragile aluminum parts.

He's talking about the actual block. The serpent ones fit, I reckon the cyclone ones might too but I don't know if any of them are stronger

Adam, I'm with you on this. I've never bended any blocks outside on a track, but indoor 2 front blocks in 1 month (only the upsided ones) and after a very slight meet with the boarding. I have driven Cyclone before I can say that all blocks are from same material.
Just stay off the boarding (easyer to say that to do sometimes).

Hey all,

A friend and myself just purchased 416WE and hope to receive them early next week. one car will be running a 540J class and will need a one way front diff. We have searched for the front one way but its not listed anywhere. Done the usual Tamiya USA part number grind and located the parts need however we are problems sourcing them individually. Is the Diff assembly similar/same as another car ( i was thinking possible 415msxx MRE?) and if so what would the part number be. We will also require some spare outdrives as our track has a tendency of swallowing them up any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Yeah, the D block is the culprit! Know the part number of the bridge block? Is it a direct replacement?
