ran the new 2.5mm lower deck today. car felt good. it actually felt better against the 2.25 on asphalt/rubber tires. no laptimes to compare but i think i'll keep the deck on there.

Hi guys, had a good weekend with the 416 at the NSW state titles here in OZ ending up 3rd in superstock. The car was great from the moment I put it down with a modified Victor Wilck TITC setup, I basically only made slight adjustments to RCs and gearing all weekend and endud up with a great result. Can't wait to try a 1pc deck, hopefully will get one in time for the nats in late November.

I have posted my setup here, the track was large asphalt and high grip

I've heard of people filing a flat spot where the grub screw goes, and putting some heat shrink around the outside over the hole to stop them exiting into the steering knuckle, but I'm not sure if there is anything else I should do?
like everyone already said, some threadlock on the grub screw helps, its what i do... though i find that running a spool does increase the freq of maintenance on the front cvd's, which makes sense

from what i understand, marc/victor/gilles were cutting off the cross piece of the rear upper deck...so instead of just having a tiny little piece to bridge the motor mount and rear bulkhead, just make the whole top deck one piece

this is second hand info (ppl who spoke with them at iic, reedy) so i could be off

I don't know about the black ones, but you can use the white delrin outdrives from the 415.

From my experience....

The white 415 delrin spool outdrives are not a direct replacment. The hole that the pin goes though is located further towards the back and the Blue Outdrive covers will not fit without modification.

Am I missing something?

Forgot to mention, also included with V-Dezign 1piece top deck for 416 is the graphite bit for steering posts. It replaces the standard aluminum part connected to the top deck on the steering posts.

When using this graphite plate instead of standard part, the chassis gets more flex in front for more steering and traction. Those who already ordered, have the part with their shipment, just forgot to notify about it in here. So don't worry

Rcmodel sells the black outdrives! I bought 4 packs 2 months ago.... So no need anymore to use the white ones, which DON'T fit without modification....
